Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Entombment of Christ by Taddeo Zuccaro was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,495.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Taddeo Zuccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated man and studies of male figures behind him in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 750,000.00 (€ 649,238.23).
