Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A scene from Roman history, probably Cloelia released by the Etruscan King Porsena by Taddeo Zuccaro was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 63,692.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Taddeo Zuccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated man and studies of male figures behind him in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 750,000.00 (€ 649,238.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A scene from Roman history, probably Cloelia released by the Etruscan King Porsena von Taddeo Zuccaro wurde im Januar 2017 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert.
