Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work A Satyr Pointing To The Right (Recto); A Soldier With A Dagger, Two Soldiers Grappling, A Soldier Attacking A Trumpeter, And Two Men Fighting (Hercules And Antaeus?) (Verso) by Taddeo Zuccaro. The price achieved of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,699.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Taddeo Zuccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated man and studies of male figures behind him in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 750,000.00 (€ 649,238.23).

Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Satyr Pointing To The Right (Recto); A Soldier With A Dagger, Two Soldiers Grappling, A Soldier Attacking A Trumpeter, And Two Men Fighting (Hercules And Antaeus?) (Verso) von Taddeo Zuccaro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.699,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Taddeo Zuccaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A seated man and studies of male figures behind him im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 750.000,00 (€ 649.238,23).
