Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Siming District, Xiamen, 2004 by Sze Tsung Leong for GBP 945.00 (€ 1,111.70). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Discoveries at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sze Tsung Leong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Guanajuato I, from Cities, 2009 in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,620.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Siming District, Xiamen, 2004 von Sze Tsung Leong für GBP 945,00 (€ 1.111,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sze Tsung Leong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Guanajuato I, from Cities, 2009 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.620,47).
