Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Beizhuanzi Li, Siming District, Xiamen by Sze Tsung Leong was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 315.18). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sze Tsung Leong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Guanajuato I, from Cities, 2009 in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,620.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Beizhuanzi Li, Siming District, Xiamen von Sze Tsung Leong im November 2017 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 375,00 (€ 315,18) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sze Tsung Leong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Guanajuato I, from Cities, 2009 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.620,47).
