Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sleeping Duck by Sven Berlin was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,550.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sven Berlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Teenagers in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,598.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sleeping Duck von Sven Berlin wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.550,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sven Berlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Teenagers im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.598,03).
