Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ttc Series: Figure In Landscape by Suzlee Ibrahim was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,718.36). Admittedly, works by Suzlee Ibrahim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,060.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ttc Series: Figure In Landscape von Suzlee Ibrahim im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.718,36) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Suzlee Ibrahim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.060,05).
