Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Midnight Summers No.1 by Suzlee Ibrahim was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,537.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suzlee Ibrahim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii , which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,060.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Midnight Summers No.1 von Suzlee Ibrahim kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.537,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Suzlee Ibrahim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.060,05) versteigert wurde.
