Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Endau Rompin Series 'The Stream' by Suzlee Ibrahim for HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,286.90). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Suzlee Ibrahim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,060.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Endau Rompin Series 'The Stream' von Suzlee Ibrahim für HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.286,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Suzlee Ibrahim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.060,05).
