Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meditation Series: Light by Suzlee Ibrahim was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,852.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suzlee Ibrahim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii , which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,060.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Meditation Series: Light von Suzlee Ibrahim wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.852,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Suzlee Ibrahim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wall Series; Masterpiece Ii beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.060,05) versteigert wurde.
