This artwork by Suzanne Valadon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work La coiffure - La toilette - 1905 sold for EUR 14,432.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Suzanne Valadon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nu à la draperie in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 475,000.00 (€ 420,838.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Suzanne Valadon erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wurde die Arbeit La coiffure - La toilette - 1905 für EUR 14.432,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Suzanne Valadon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nu à la draperie im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 475.000,00 (€ 420.838,13).
