The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,985.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sunil Das have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Friends 1 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Horse) von Sunil Das kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.985,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sunil Das auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Friends 1 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29).
