Despite a disappointment, a good price for Sunil Das
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Friends 1 by Sunil Das for USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29). This price was achieved in the auction An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Friends 1 is the most expensive artwork by Sunil Das that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Sunil Das
Im Juli 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Friends 1 von Sunil Das für USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Friends 1 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sunil Das, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
