In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Horse) by Sunil Das. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,796.36), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sunil Das achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Friends 1 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Horse) von Sunil Das zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.796,36) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sunil Das erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Friends 1 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29).
