Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Bull) by Sunil Das. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,999.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sunil Das have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Friends 1 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Bull) von Sunil Das zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.999,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sunil Das auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Friends 1 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29).
