Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work 21 Grams by Sun Xun. It changed hands for a price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,859.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sun Xun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 21 G, which sold at auction in October 2015 for CNY 562,500.00 (€ 80,640.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 21 Grams von Sun Xun zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.859,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 220.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sun Xun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 21 G beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für CNY 562.500,00 (€ 80.640,96) versteigert wurde.
