Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Endopsychic Fire by Sun Xun. The price achieved of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 21,584.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sun Xun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 21 G, which sold at auction in October 2015 for CNY 562,500.00 (€ 80,640.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Endopsychic Fire von Sun Xun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 21.584,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sun Xun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 21 G beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für CNY 562.500,00 (€ 80.640,96) versteigert wurde.
