A top price for Sun Mingjing - as previously expected
The work Zigong Series: Salt Factory Workers No. 1 by Sun Mingjing was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The price achieved of HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,235.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 28,000.00 – 38,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Zigong Series: Salt Factory Workers No. 1 is the most expensive artwork by Sun Mingjing that we have observed at auctions so far.
