This artwork by Sun Hao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Prajña sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 29,069.62) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sun Hao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Black Horse, White Horse, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 756,000.00 (€ 90,614.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sun Hao erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Prajña für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 29.069,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sun Hao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Black Horse, White Horse beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 756.000,00 (€ 90.614,98) versteigert wurde.
