In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Horse in Purple Drape by Sun Hao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 630,000.00 (€ 75,496.35), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sun Hao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Black Horse, White Horse sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 90,614.98).

Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horse in Purple Drape von Sun Hao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 75.496,35) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sun Hao; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Black Horse, White Horse im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 90.614,98).
