This artwork by Sun Hao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Bathed in Light sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 17,804.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sun Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black Horse, White Horse in May this year with an auction result of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 90,614.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sun Hao erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Bathed in Light für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 17.804,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sun Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Black Horse, White Horse im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 90.614,98).
