In December 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Bright Sky by Sun Hao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,184.79), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sun Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black Horse, White Horse in May this year with an auction result of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 90,614.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bright Sky von Sun Hao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.184,79) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sun Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Black Horse, White Horse im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 90.614,98).
