Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Small Head by Sudhir Patwardhan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,263.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sudhir Patwardhan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,796.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Small Head von Sudhir Patwardhan wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.816,00 (€ 3.263,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sudhir Patwardhan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.796,31).
