Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Introspect by Sudhir Patwardhan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,190.00 (€ 6,974.37), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sudhir Patwardhan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,796.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Introspect von Sudhir Patwardhan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 6.974,37) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sudhir Patwardhan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.796,31).
