Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Laborer by Sudhir Patwardhan was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2004. The price achieved of USD 5,019.00 (€ 4,042.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sudhir Patwardhan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,796.31).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.019,00 (€ 4.042,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sudhir Patwardhan erzielen.
