Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl With Nose Ring by Sudhir Patwardhan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,360.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sudhir Patwardhan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,796.31).

Die Arbeit Girl With Nose Ring von Sudhir Patwardhan kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.360,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sudhir Patwardhan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.796,31).
