Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work AIR-RAID SHELTER by Su Wong-Shen. The price achieved of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,837.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 280,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Su Wong-Shen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Front Yard, which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 583,500.00 (€ 48,087.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit AIR-RAID SHELTER von Su Wong-Shen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.837,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Su Wong-Shen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Front Yard beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 583.500,00 (€ 48.087,78) versteigert wurde.
