This artwork by Su Wong-Shen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2007. In the Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) auction, the work Two Sides Of The Fence sold for HKD 439,500.00 (€ 39,186.83) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Su Wong-Shen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Front Yard sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of HKD 583,500.00 (€ 48,087.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Su Wong-Shen erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) wurde die Arbeit Two Sides Of The Fence für HKD 439.500,00 (€ 39.186,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Su Wong-Shen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Front Yard im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 583.500,00 (€ 48.087,78).
