A top price for Storm Thorgerson - as previously expected
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Pop x Culture, which included the work Pink Floyd 40th Anniversary, 2007 by Storm Thorgerson. The price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,736.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pink Floyd 40th Anniversary, 2007 is the most expensive artwork by Storm Thorgerson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Pop x Culture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Floyd 40th Anniversary, 2007 von Storm Thorgerson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.736,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Pink Floyd 40th Anniversary, 2007 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Storm Thorgerson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
