Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Dark Side of the Moon by Storm Thorgerson was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 712.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Storm Thorgerson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pink Floyd 40th Anniversary, 2007 in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,736.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Dark Side of the Moon von Storm Thorgerson kam im Juni 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 712,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Storm Thorgerson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pink Floyd 40th Anniversary, 2007 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.736,36).
