This artwork by Steven Spurrier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Dining Afloat sold for GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,708.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Steven Spurrier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Flunkeys sold at auction in July 2004 with the realized price of GBP 4,541.00 (€ 6,862.45).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Steven Spurrier erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Dining Afloat für GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.708,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Steven Spurrier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Flunkeys im Juli 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.541,00 (€ 6.862,45).
