This artwork by Steven Spurrier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2006. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Reclining Nude sold for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,554.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Steven Spurrier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Flunkeys sold at auction in July 2004 with the realized price of GBP 4,541.00 (€ 6,862.45).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Steven Spurrier erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Reclining Nude für GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.554,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Steven Spurrier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Flunkeys im Juli 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.541,00 (€ 6.862,45).
