Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work House In Westport by Stevan Dohanos. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 3,795.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stevan Dohanos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Art Lover (Tired Museum Feet) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit House In Westport von Stevan Dohanos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 3.795,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stevan Dohanos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Art Lover (Tired Museum Feet) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.013,46).
