Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Barcelone - Ciutat Judicial N. 1, 2008 (From The Series Melting Point) by Stéphane Couturier was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 6,875.00. Admittedly, works by Stéphane Couturier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grand Palais, Paris 8 in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,446.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Barcelone - Ciutat Judicial N. 1, 2008 (From The Series Melting Point) von Stéphane Couturier im November 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 6.875,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stéphane Couturier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grand Palais, Paris 8 im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.446,33).
