It achieved a price of SEK 40,000.00 (€ 4,493.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Stellan Mörner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Surrealistiskt sällskap in October 2009 with an auction result of SEK 200,000.00 (€ 19,220.60).

Die Arbeit "Vid stenbrottet" (By the Quarry) von Stellan Mörner kam im April 2012 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 40.000,00 (€ 4.493,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stellan Mörner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Surrealistiskt sällskap im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 200.000,00 (€ 19.220,60).
