Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Kulissförråd" by Stellan Mörner was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 14,000.00 (€ 1,206.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stellan Mörner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surrealistiskt sällskap in October 2009 with an auction result of SEK 200,000.00 (€ 19,220.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Kulissförråd" von Stellan Mörner im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 14.000,00 (€ 1.206,31) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stellan Mörner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surrealistiskt sällskap im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 200.000,00 (€ 19.220,60).
