Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2009 Phillips in London held the auction NOW: Art of the 21st Century, which included the work Airport by Stefan Kürten. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,461.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Stefan Kürten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Western Music (16-teilige Serie) in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 23,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion NOW: Art of the 21st Century durch, in der auch die Arbeit Airport von Stefan Kürten zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.461,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stefan Kürten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Western Music (16-teilige Serie) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.800,00.
