Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Sleep of Reason | A Private Collection of Surrealist Art Online, which included the work L'Hermite I by Stanislas Lepri. The price achieved of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,681.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanislas Lepri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au visage craquelé in May last year with an auction result of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 23,716.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Sleep of Reason | A Private Collection of Surrealist Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Hermite I von Stanislas Lepri zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.681,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanislas Lepri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au visage craquelé im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 23.716,32).
