Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Spirit Of Borobudur by Srihadi Soedarsono was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 819,000.00 (€ 87,686.78), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Srihadi Soedarsono have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 383,472.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Spirit Of Borobudur von Srihadi Soedarsono wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 819.000,00 (€ 87.686,78) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Srihadi Soedarsono auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 383.472,06).
