Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Borobudur - The Breath of Nature by Srihadi Soedarsono. The price achieved of HKD 381,000.00 (€ 45,232.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Srihadi Soedarsono have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 383,472.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Borobudur - The Breath of Nature von Srihadi Soedarsono zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 381.000,00 (€ 45.232,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Srihadi Soedarsono auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 383.472,06).
