The work Waterfall in Autumn by Song Yugui was worth HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 129,451.28) to a buyer in May 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Waterfall in Autumn the most expensive artwork by Song Yugui that we have observed at auctions so far.
