Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings I - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings, which included the work Autumn River by Song Yugui. The price achieved of HKD 402,500.00 (€ 37,435.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Yugui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waterfall in Autumn, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 129,451.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings I - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn River von Song Yugui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 402.500,00 (€ 37.435,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Yugui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waterfall in Autumn beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 1.120.000,00 (€ 129.451,28) versteigert wurde.
