Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Flowers by Song Yugui for HKD 260,000.00 (€ 30,867.58). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Song Yugui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Waterfall in Autumn in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 129,451.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flowers von Song Yugui für HKD 260.000,00 (€ 30.867,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Yugui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Waterfall in Autumn im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.120.000,00 (€ 129.451,28).
