This artwork by Song Yugui achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work The Rock sold for HKD 195,500.00 (€ 18,182.77) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Song Yugui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Waterfall in Autumn in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 129,451.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Yugui erzielte im April 2014 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit The Rock für HKD 195.500,00 (€ 18.182,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Yugui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Waterfall in Autumn im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.120.000,00 (€ 129.451,28).
