Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Riding in a Bus by Song Yonghong was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,686.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Yonghong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Production Line, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 2,180,000.00 (€ 189,450.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Riding in a Bus von Song Yonghong wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.686,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Yonghong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Production Line beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 2.180.000,00 (€ 189.450,10) versteigert wurde.
