This artwork by Song Yonghong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Pool Side sold for HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 119,706.54) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 550,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Song Yonghong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Production Line sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of HKD 2,180,000.00 (€ 189,450.10).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Yonghong erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Pool Side für HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 119.706,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 550.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Song Yonghong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Production Line im April 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.180.000,00 (€ 189.450,10).
