This artwork by Song Yonghong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work New Balance sold for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 40,620.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Song Yonghong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Production Line in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 2,180,000.00 (€ 189,450.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Yonghong erzielte im Oktober 2010 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit New Balance für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 40.620,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Yonghong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Production Line im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.180.000,00 (€ 189.450,10).
