Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Spring Mountains by Song Baochun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,935.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Baochun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scholars On A Boat in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,379.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring Mountains von Song Baochun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.935,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Baochun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scholars On A Boat im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.379,00).
