This work without title by Somnath Hore was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,950.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Somnath Hore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Draupadi and Shakuni in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 100,524.85).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Somnath Hore wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.950,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Somnath Hore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Draupadi and Shakuni im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 100.524,85).
