Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Somnath Hore was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2019. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Somnath Hore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Draupadi and Shakuni in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 100,524.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Somnath Hore kam im März 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Somnath Hore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Draupadi and Shakuni im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 100.524,85).
